Steffon Amritage Labels England's World Cup Players as "Pathetic"

Steffon Armitage and Nick Abendanon, both France-based players, were not picked for Stuart Lancaster's squad because the Rugby Football Union doesn't allow foreign-based players to be selected  to protect the Premiership. The RFU has started to review their conducts due to this topic. Although, the governing body could have invoked its "exceptional circumstances" rule and allow them to be picked. This "exceptional circumstances" has been allowed in the past which cause many eyebrows to be raised. Steffon and Nick are both critical players and believe they are able to make an impact on the field but are discouraged with the rules.

Based on Steffon's and Nicks situation do you believe that the RFU needs to reconsider their rules on the foreign policy? How could this affect RFU's and the players relationship in the future?

Mourinho Sacked

http://www.football365.com/news/what-the-papers-say-jose-mourinhos-future

Jose Mourinho is arguably the best manager in the footballing world. He has won title after title with multiple teams across Europe. He currently manages Chelsea FC, which is a team definitely worthy of his leadership. He coached Chelsea from 2004 - 2008 at first, while he was the highest paid manager in football. He then left to Inter Milan, then to Real Madrid, and then back to Chelsea again.

This season has been a rough start for Mourinho and his squad. 6 defeats in 11 games is not what everyone was expecting. Rumors have surfaced that "the special one" is going to take his management skills elsewhere if Chelsea does not improve their record. A lot of other club owners are probably taking interest in this issue. Mourinho is won of the winningest managers in history, maybe he isn't right for Chelsea? A good manager is equally as valuable to a club as the players. Buying Mourinho from Chelsea might be a big move for another club like Manchester City or Paris Saint Germain.

However, giants do fall. The game is forever changing because the best tactics are being used around the world. For example, the famous Tiki-Taka of FC Barcelona is almost outdated because other teams have either learned to defend it or use it themselves. Mourinho might be another one of those cases. Managers have been studying him for years, so he might have reached the end. Do you think Mourinho is done? Has his time come and gone as a world class manager? Or will he rise again to prove why he thinks he's "the special one"?

Wayne Rooney to Adidas

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/manchester-united-striker-wayne-rooney-6746211

Wayne Rooney, Manchester United's most precious gem, is paid over $1.5 million per year to wear Nike cleats every time he plays. United just made a huge move from Nike gear to Adidas within the past year. It appears that Adidas is going after the Red Devil's best player as well. Rooney may be getting older, but he still maintains massive commercial value. My only question for Adidas is why they would go after Rooney since he has been endorsed by Nike for almost his entire career? Especially since he hasn't been playing as well and might retire within the next 5 years. What do you think?

Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg---- Friends or Rivals?

Lewis Hamilton (a British Formula 1 racing driver from England) and Nico Rosberg (a German racing driver for the Mercedes Formula 1 team as well) mended ties during the team's world championship party. Hamilton, victor of the race, applauded Rosberg after he took third in the race. At the celebration Hamilton spoke about how the two had been best friends since they were four and announced how good of a teammate he is to have handled such a loss appropriately. He also states that he will continue to try and beat him in the races that will occur in the future. Rosberg emphasized how upset he was with himself, yet once he attended the celebration and saw how happy his colleagues were, he began to appreciate all that the team has accomplished.

How could having such a competitive mind set be detrimental to a business like this ? In sports today, do you think that it is vital to maintain a certain atmosphere in order for success? Do you think having such a close knit relationship with a teammate serves the team/business a benefit or a drawback ?

Cristiano Ronaldo Potential Move to PSG

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/players/cristiano-ronaldo/11672629/Cristiano-Ronaldos-87m-move-to-Paris-St-Germain-depends-on-Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-and-FFP.html

This article discusses Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer options to the Paris hegemon next season. He has said in interviews that he wants to retire as a Real Madrid player, but an 87 million euro deal could swing his plans. This deal also depends on Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is not a huge Ronaldo fan. If Ibrahimovic decides to move on from Paris Sant-Germain next season, PSG will be looking for a star replacement. I don't buy that Ronaldo would stay anywhere based on morals, the guy is after the money and the fame. Do you think Ronaldo would toss aside his Real Madrid crown and try out the French league? Also, how would Real Madrid bounce back from such a massive player loss like Ronaldo?

Lenny Dykstra opening states that he has previously blackmailed umpires.

Lenny Dykstra, former Met, states he has spent 500,000 dollars to hire private investigators to find dirt on the MLB umpires. He then used the dirt he found in his favor for strike zone. He states this is what he had to do to win and support his family.

What do you think is wrong with this?
How will MLB be viewed now after this scandal?
Do you think MLB will lose fans, sponsors, and future business opportunities from this openly known scandal?

Eugenie Bochard sues US Tennis Association

Eugenie Bochard sues US Tennis Association for slipping and falling in the locker room during the US Open. She has been in severe pain due to the bad concussion and economic loss with having to withdraw out of several tournaments due to the accident in September. The tournament didn't have a sign that said the floor was just cleaned and be careful which led to the accident.

The US Tennis Association will have a difficult time trying to win this case. They have put themselves in a bad position for their future and their company has a whole. The US Tennis will be losing millions on this case but will hopefully learn to keep their players safe as much as their fans/customers.

Do you think this situation will affect the US Tennis Assoication in the future?
